Finance Manager
Join Safegard Systems as a Finance Manager and become an integral part of the Safegard and Swegon Group team.

Safegard Systems, based in Bray; Ireland and part of the Swegon Group, are leading Specialists in fire dampers, smoke dampers and damper control & monitoring systems.
Safegard are now recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team who will manage the daily finance function, working closely with all departments and who will be responsible for forecasting and budgeting for the business and the weekly sales and order reporting. The finance manager will also work closely with stakeholders, supporting and providing key business information to assist with decision making.
Main Duties and responsibilities: (This is not an exhaustive list and is subject to change depending on the business needs)
• Monthly management accounts and accounts preparation
• Balance sheet preparation and regular reviews
• Manage Accounts reconciliations
• Perform or review manual Journal Entries, as required
• Fixed Assets
• Support CAPEX requests & approval
• Personnel management of Admin Controller
• Tax Compliance: Bi-monthly Irish VAT Returns - Quarterly UK VAT Returns
• Take lead on external audit, liaising with external auditors
• Liaise with local accounting firm to prepare statutory accounts and taxation filings
• Support local Managers with the review and disposal of obsolete stock
• Proactively managing workload to ensure all deadlines are met within month-end timetable
• Supporting fellow team members in the day to day running of the Finance department
• Monthly payroll and salary payments
• Review and authorisation of AP payment runs#
• Expense and credit card review
Qualifications:
Essential
GCSE or equivalent
AAT or CIMA/ACCA Studier
Desirable
A finance or accounting degree would be an advantage
Experience:
Essential
• 5+ years experience in a similar role.
• Competent Excel User (Vlookups and Sumifs)
Desirable
Experience of ERP Systems
Experience within a manufacturing environment
